The Senior Vice President of Integrated Supply Chain (SVP ISC) provides leadership, management, and vision to ensure that the company effectively and efficiently delivers exceptional operational and supply chain outcomes in service of customer demand and aggressive growth objectives. This will include driving performance across all company facilities (current and to-be-acquired) across all operational and supply chain disciplines (i.e. manufacturing, distribution, manufacturing engineering, continuous improvement, materials management, planning, maintenance, etc.) utilizing a variety of operational strategies. In addition, the SVP ISC will play a critical role in acquisition, expansion and network optimization activities. The SVP ISC will also cultivate and leverage multiple cross-functional business relationships to identify and execute creative solutions to organizational opportunities and challenges.
As a member of the company’s Executive Team, the SVP ISC will partner in setting the company’s strategic goals and ensuring our operating efforts are aligned to support those objectives. The SVP ISC reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and leads a large, diverse team of direct and indirect reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITES:
Functional Leadership. Provide overall leadership to the operations function, with responsibility for: strategy development and implementation; operating plans and budgets; cost-out initiatives; policies, procedures, and leveraging technology; staff assessment and development; performance measurement and governance; and, communications with business units and senior management. Work with leadership to embed a continuous improvement culture in the organization.
Sales & Operations Planning. Strengthen a robust Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process that integrates demand, supply, and inventory planning capabilities. Coordinate with all functional leads to develop and align on “the plan”, including developing build-up and drill-down capabilities by product family. Incorporate flexibility and visibility of growth surges, particularly from acquisition. Set a supply strategy that is aligned with the business and translate that into executional actions.
Inventory Management. Develop inventory targets and monitor supply / replenishment to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis. Manage and control inventory, obsolescence, and working capital. Incorporate inventory positions into the overall IBP process and help facilitate supply decisions. Anticipate inventory ramps as they relate to new product introductions, footprint decisions, and long-term capacity requirements.
Logistics / Network Optimization. Partner with functional leads across the business to plan for current and future demand and technology shifts. Develop and implement plans to optimize supply chain footprint to address cost and service targets. Develop and execute integration plans for all operations functions of acquired companies. Sourcing and Procurement. Partner with the Chief Procurement Officer to manage professional procurement processes, including purchasing and transactional operations. Build out low cost country sourcing capabilities. Ensure compliance and sourcing strategy with manufacturing locations.
